I am seeing lots of these in my yard in Cary, NC. Does their presence indicate anything about the overall health of the yard, and should they be considered pests to be removed? I am seeing them in the front yard which was stripped and entirely reseeded last fall.

As for me, they give me the creeps.

Do millipedes like milk powder to eat? If present in food and eaten by some one in dark, can they be harmful?
